Left to right: Amos Ashurst, Jessica Werb, Kim Stewart, Rob Linton, Jaime Ashurst A WORD ABOUT TUCK. "TUCK: Now here's a band with some smarts behind it. Jay Ashurst (vocals), Amos Ashurst (guitar, vocals), Jessica Werb (cello, saw), Kim Stewart (bass, vocals), and Rob Linton (drums) write some of the city's most intriguing, intelligent, and downright listenable songs this side of Sigur Ros." Ferdy Belland- Journalist for The Nerve Magazine BIO. The music of Tuck reflects the range of musical backgrounds of its members; it incorporates folk, blues, jazz, classical and pop. Although a more succinct description has been fashioned: "Tuck plays grimy, jumpy folk music with a dab of pop". The band's sound is refreshingly unique; yet the songs utilize mostly conventional arrangements, and are thus accessible to a wide range of listeners. Highlights include 3 part harmonies, clarinet, piano and cello. Audiences have been exceptionally responsive to Tuck's live performances; and it is expected that the band's first full length album, "Lullabies and Other Lies," will be met with similar appreciation from listeners. "Lullabies and Other Lies" was co-produced with Juno-award winning producer Steve Dawson. Tuck shares members with Parlor Steps, the West Coast Symphony and the Pheonix Chamber Choir. Two of its' members (Amos Ashust and Rob Linton) spent their early twenties writing and performing music with one of the key members of "Arcade Fire", Sarah Neufeld.
